我々は2つのフリーダムトレインを知っている。1947-1949年と1975-1976年である。ところが1987年にMDCはそれらと異なるフリーダムトレインを発売した。合衆国憲法成立200年を記念したもので、1両の蒸気機関車と4両のオーバートン客車、それにこの木造ボックスカーだった（MR誌1987年7月号p24）。これらは全くの架空のものなのだろうか。いや、一例だけ実物が存在した。BM&R鉄道が保存蒸機4-8-4の炭水車に独自の文言を書き込んだ。それはTrains誌の1987年12月号p16と1990年4月号p55に記述されていた。インターネットを探すとRailpictures.netにカラー写真があった。書かれているのは"We the People OF READING & BERKS COUNTY PA, CELEBRATE CONSTITUTION DAY"だろうか。

We know two freedom trains. 1947-1949 and 1975-1976. However, in 1987 MDC released different freedom trains. It celebrated the 200th anniversary of the Constitution of the United States, it was a steam locomotive, four Overton passenger cars and this wooden boxcar (page 24 of the July 1987 issue of the MR). Are they fictitious? No, the real train existed only in one case. The Blue Mountain & Reading R.R. wrote his own wording on the 4-8-4 tender. It was described in page 16 of the December 1987 issue and page 55 of the April 1990 issue of the Trains magazine. Looking for the Internet there was a color picture on Railpictures.net. Is the sentence "We the People OF READING & BERKS COUNTY PA, CELEBRATE CONSTITUTION DAY"?
